PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Burleigh County Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing during their scheduled meeting on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 5:15pm local time in the Tom Baker Meeting Room, City/County Building, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, ND. The Burleigh County Planning and Zoning Commissioners will at this time hear all interested persons regarding the following items:

Petitioners are seeking approval of the following subdivisions:

CJB Subdivision described as:
Part of Government Lots 1 & 2, Section 12, Township 141N, Range 81W, Burleigh County, ND
This is a one (1) lot subdivision on 5.46 acres.

EAH Subdivision described as:
Part of Auditor’s Lots A and B Section 23, Township 140, Range 80W, Burleigh County, ND
This is a two (2) lot subdivision containing 57 acres.

Petitioner is requesting a variance to setbacks to build an accessory building on a property described as:

8716 Caraway Drive –
Lot 3, Block 2, Harvest Grove Third Subdivision

Notice is hereby given that the Burleigh County Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing during their scheduled meeting on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 5:15pm local time in the Tom Baker Meeting Room, City/County Building, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, ND. The Burleigh County Planning and Zoning Commissioners will at this time hear all interested persons regarding a requested variance to setbacks to build a 975 sf accessory building on a property described as:

Block 2, Lot 4, Imperial Valley Subdivision, Burleigh County, ND
Addressed as: 3615 E Princeton Ave.

Noxious Weeds & Hay Cutting in Ditches

Official Notice 2026

In accordance with NDCC 4.1-47-02, it shall be the duty of every person (individual, partnership, firm, corporation, company, society, association, the state or any department, agency or subdivision thereof, or any other entity) to eradicate or control the spread of noxious weeds on lands owned or controlled by him/her in the state of North Dakota. Control means to prevent the spread of any noxious weed by seed or any other propagating part. Such parts must not be transported in any manner. Penalties are provided for in NDCC 4.1-47-31.

The Burleigh County Noxious Weed Control Board will spray portions of the road ditches with herbicides for noxious weed control. Some of the herbicides used may have a haying or grazing restriction, meaning a certain amount of time must pass after herbicide application and before haying or grazing operations may begin. These restrictions are determined by the herbicide label.

Operators who wish to cut and make ditch hay, should contact the Weed Control Officer to determine if and when a specific area has been treated and what the restriction timeline is. Operators wishing to not have their ditches sprayed prior to haying should also contact the Weed Control Office at 8100 43rd Avenue NE, Bismarck, ND 58503, phone 701-934-0088 or 701-204-7748.
