The American Red Cross and Disney teamed up to provide an activity book featuring Disney characters, interactive games, and activities to teach kids interesting facts about disasters, as well as tips on how to get prepared and feel safer as a result. Check out the Mickey and Friends Activity Book.
Ready Wrigley
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response, has a "Ready Wrigley" website to help kids learn about various emergencies. Ready Wrigley has books and checklists--all to teach children about what to do in emergency situations.
National Weather Service
The National Weather Service Education Program provides interactive and educational items about the weather: videos, games, and publications.
Ready Kids
The Ready Kids website packed with information and games to help kids and their families better prepare in the event of a disaster. Learn how to create an emergency kit, play Ready Kids games and Prepare with Pedro to learn how they prepare for different situations. Teens can complete a Teen CERT program to help be a leader in their community. There are also resources for parents and teachers that can be used in the classroom or home.
Student Tools for Emergency Planning
